    Yet another strange little problem...

Sometimes when I boot up the computer into OS X (I can't figure out when it does exactly happen, it may happen at other times too) but my time is off. It will be 4 hours behind, but when I open Date & Time it will revert to the correct setting and stay that way, without me changing anything. I can't figure out what's making the time go off, or why it doesn't need any change to get back on track. This seems to be more than just a display issue; for instance, Adium seems to be syncing up with whatever time is being displayed (incorrect or correct) for the timestamps.

Thanks in advance for the help!

There's an issue with Boot Camp that does this - when you boot back into OSX the time zone will reset to UTC. You're probably on the east coast (-5 hours, -4 DST), hence the 4 hour difference sometimes.

You can refresh it by opening up the time and date preferences. You'll need to click the lock to unlock changes to it to get it to refresh if you've locked settings with a password

Ah ha - thank you! Hopefully they'll fix that someday. Now that I know what causes it I can just make sure to change that whenever I switch OSes. Thanks again!
