    When do you think the application running through rosetta will become Universal? The rosetta slows everything non native slow I heard. And once it does become universal, would you have to rebuy those applications? or can you just download.

    Some things you have to rebuy, some things you can download a patch. It just depends on what it is.

    Usually there will at least be reasonably priced upgrades for the major stuff that requires an upgrade - i.e. there should be a CS3 upgrade for existing CS2 owners. Hopefully MS will offer some sort of upgrade for the universal version of Office as well.

    A lot of the more specialized commercial software has seen free universal upgrades..... i.e. Propellerhead released Reason 3.0.5 as a free upgrade to add universal support.

    not that i use reason much, but still...
    I imagine that CS3 will have plenty of features to warrant a new purchase, as will many other products that will be releasing UB updates.
