    Is there any way to upgrade the ram on a macbook pro retina? I should have done it when I bought it, but skimped ;-( Thanks ...

    No it is Enfused, but what exactly are you doing that you need over 8gb and need 16? You can upgrade the HDD though but it's going to cost you

    Yup, the RAM is soldered to the motherboard, it's a choice Apple made in order to achieve the thinness of the Retina, so short of getting a new Retina, you're stuck with what you have.

    who knows. .. Im starting to wish I could have more than 32 nowadays. but off the top of my head editing RAW images, video editing, a couple new games now, simulations, 3D rendering, video rendering, statistical software, heavy audio processing, CAD/CAM apps, image analysis, advanced vector processing and GIS applications off the top of my head.
