From what I've seen on some photos it shouldn't be too hard to open up the macbook, but if the memory is soldered, then upgrading the RAM won't be easy.
Does anyone know for sure if the RAM is upgradeable on the new macbook? I just ordered the 2,4ghz with 2gb RAM, but plan on upgrading the RAM later on.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Two ram slots under the back case, no soldered RAM in the aluminum MB or MBP - Apple has instructions on their website and printed under the batter lid.
Has to be DDR3, however, when you upgrade. -
I upgraded to 4gb ram from the apple store. total cost 150+ tax
This is definetly worth the upgrade , is u want to run boot camp ( i mean vm ware or parelles ) or games and so on.
The price is cheaper too, considering its coming directly from apple.

That is the same thing being discussed in the other thread..
Then u have to sell it too...
( fyi: when i gave my 4 day old mb for upgrading the ram to the apple store, they found that a screw was missing inside and they could not replace it. so they gave me a totally new mb. hehehe) -
Yeah for the ram I have to agree that the apple upgrade is probably easier option for the 4Gb. Trying to sell ram is like pulling teeth. Hard drives are a different story, definitely do this upgrade yourself.
