    Hi everyone.
I'm thinking about trying a Mac.
I leave my desktop PC on all day almost every day.
If I would have a MBP hooked up to a monitor and use a wireless keyboard and mouse with it, would there be anything that I need to worry about?

An iMac or a Mac Mini might be a better choice for a pure desktop but if you want the versatility of a Laptop occasionally there is nothing wrong with using a MacBook or MacBook Pro as a desktop most of the time.

Since I got my MBA, my uMB 13" sits in clamshell mode 24x7 for the most part as a "desktop" or "home server" and it works fine.

Any MB can work fine with external monitor/mouse/keyboard in desktop mode. Just remember that while this gives you desktop ergonomics, it doesn't make the laptop any more powerful, so just make sure whatever MBP you get has enough performance and capacity to do the things you do.
