Much as VB is annoying, it does work fine for my needs in MS Office.
Now that it will be removed from Office 2008, anyone know what the alternative wlll be? AppleScript?

what do you mean by VB? The first thing that comes to mind when I see that is Visual Basic.
Could you clarify? -
Visual Basic

VBA: Visual Basic for Applications.

So, just the standard Visual Basic? I wasn't aware that it was available for OSX. I used to do VB in high school, and from the way we used it, it seems like you could use any other programming language instead. Pretty much anything can compile and run in OSX now with the Intel chips, so you've got plenty of options.
Though, I'm still not entirely sure what you're using VB for, Python may be something for you to look into, as it is quite a powerful little language and very easy to pick up. -

. Shows how much I really use Office aside from writing damn reports. Could you point me to something that may explain this?
As for applescript, I've heard it's good. I've never done any scripting before, so I can't tell you first hand. I'll stick to writing software, scripts are just to damn confusing...
