    I can't seem to get win 7 to connect to the internet in vmware fusion, I don't know if it is Win 7 or VMware. Anyone else having problems?

    It must be VMware. My brief moments with 7, I could connect to the internet just fine (through bootcamp on 2.53 unibody)...

    Did you install VMware tools. Try doing that and it should be fine. I have no issues here with it.

    Yeah I have VMware tools installed. I can connect fine in bootcamp. I'm thinking it's VMware, but I can't fix it.

    There is a quick fix for it that I did using VMWare Workstation and Windows 7. I'll see if I can find it again.

    Edit: Found this: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/186482?tstart=0

    Basically open up the VMX file in a text editor and insert the line:

    ethernet0.virtualDEV = "e1000"

    Save the file, and now try booting the virtual machine.

    You can find it at:

    /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0/

    Then inside that directory there was a package called Boot Camp partition. If you open that package, inside there is a Boot Camp partition.vmx file

    Actually.....in there is a file "Boot Camp partition.vmwarevm". If you "Show Contents" on that file, you'll get to the .VMX file. ;)

    Thank you!
