Okay so after restoring my bootcamp partition from my back up, I can not figure out how to get it to work with VMware. VMware has the special boot camp spot but it won't start up my bootcamp. I have had this problem before and my solution was to completely uninstall VMware and then do the set up it gives you(I don't feel like doing that). So I need to re-add my bootcamp partition some how. Anyone know how to do that with out having to re-install VMware?

Have you tested booting into your boot camp partition?
Try removing the old "boot camp partition" from the VMWare panel, it may detect it again it your boot camp is working properly.
I recently restored both my OSX and Boot camp partition and didn't have to reinstall VMware, it just detected Boot camp partition again without me adding it. But I did see the old "Boot camp" setting there which I had to remove manually. -
Do you mean delete this? If so, I can't delete it it won't let me. And Yes my bootcamp partition does work.

Just press on play, it should start the new windows you have restored.

i had the same issue and fought with it for a long time. The quickest and only fix i found was to run the VMware uninstaller, then reinstall VMware... everything worked fine after that. You do not have to delete or lose any of your virtual machines, so its not that big of a deal.
