My son had a bunch of crash problems with his Summer 2010 MBP (nVidia 330M) and had the logic board replaced two months ago. That solved the problem but they returned a few days ago. The problem is seen on Mac OS X and Windows under Boot Camp.

He installed the program to run Mac OS X under Integrated and the problem isn't seen there.

We just found a MacBook Pro Video Update at MacBook Pro Video Update 1.0 that came out yesterday that addresses this issue. My son is going to install it to see if it fixes his problems, at least on the Mac OS X side. Not sure if there's a fix for BootCamp Windows yet.

The support article is at MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010): Intermittent black screen or loss of video

He just told me that the update is only for Lion. He's still on Snow Leopard.

The support article says that if you're on Snow Leopard, then you need to bring it in for support.
