I am looking for an easy to use video editing program for my Macbook Pro. I want something to use to edit movies from a video camera with a hard drive. Every time you start and stop a recording it makes everyone a separate video which is a pain.

iMovie is a good suggestion if you aren't into anything hardcore. If you want awesome vidoes, I suggest final cut.
