I was thinking about getting a MBP to run Vista on. I'm concerned about the lack of driver support for the MBP in Vista. So I have a couple of general questions:
    ----
Is there ANYTHING that isn't supported supported under Vista?

Are the apple drivers for things like the iSight stable?

What apple drivers are needed? For instance does the iSight need apple drivers or just generic drivers? Does the keyboard backlight need a driver? etc..

Is it possible to use the intel chipset driver, realtek HD audio driver, nvidia video driver (via laptop2go) or do you need apple specific drivers? If so which components do or don't need them?
    ----
Any help with the above questions would be appreciated. I don't want to buy a MBP only to learn that some things don't work in Vista. If anyone is curious why I prefer Vista over OSX. The reason is because I need windows apps and keeping vista/xp and osx at the same time isn't worth it.

I am curious too. Don't mean to steal your thread, but how exactly can you implement a right click without remapping keys to hold Ctrl + Left click in Vista, such as the double tap feature on OS X?

Edit: Nevermind, my question was answered on page 21 on the Installing Bootcamp Guide.

I'm assuming the Vista drivers with the MBP will be mature by Oct. when Leopard is released. Boot Camp is a beta after all.

Please save the OS X preaching too, I don't care. But I can get a MBP for almost free, thank you financial aid.

I'm running Boot Camp 1.3 Beta on a Santa Rosa 15.4" 2.4GHz MBP.

Vista runs smoothly. The only thing I've notice so far is that you cannot control the keyboard backlight in Vista; it automatically turns on when the surroundings get dark. I even have an external keyboard and mouse connected, but under Vista, the MBP's trackpad and keyboard remain active. This is not the case is OSX, they can easily be disabled.

I am using all the drivers provided by Apple as instructed by the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide. No experimenting with 3rd party drivers.

No one is gonna fight you on that dude. If you want to go through the trouble changing a physical Mac into a PC help yourself. You can get a physical PC and save the trouble. Don't forget the Mac uses a Mac keyboard and not a Windows keyboard and it uses 6 pin powered firewire which is not supported under Windows. Also don't count on fully removing OSX to install Windows. It won't work.
