A couple of specific issues running Vista on a 2.16GHz MBP with 2GB ram.

    1. The external LCD looks fine. The local LCD looks washed out and blue. Loading a color profile only kinda solves the problem (still does not look all that great) and even worse, the loaded color profile does not stay loaded after a reboot.

I've read around and it seems the profile not staying loaded is a Vista bug, but has anyone found a decent workaround? I don't really see too many ways to adjust/calibrate/gamma adjust the screen under Vista.

    2. Def runs a little hotter under Vista. Just playing a podcast in iTunes will get the fans going on and off at a medium speed. Any fan control cooling tips under Vista?

Otherwise, Vista runs well on the MBP under boot camp. I tried Parallels. Just too slow. Def cool, and almost really good, but for me, just a lil' too slow. Sure hope Leopard can write to NTFS.

I need Vista for GTR2 (plays great under Vista and on MBP) and I'm kind of addicted to Microsoft OneNote.

i run vista ultimate and i dont get the color issue. Everything looks really nice and the screen seems to be a bit brighter in vista then osx.

Fans definitely kick on more. you can set it in smcfancontrol in osx and the settings should apply in vista. maybe turn it to 3000-3500. this is a quiet level still but could keep it cool enough to avoid the higher levels

yeah i havent seen any discolouration in vista either. but theres a program you can install so that you can alter the fan speeds from windows, cant remember what it's called though.

The color is not WAY messed up, just a little too bright, and a slight blue to the highlights.

My screen has a blue color as well in Windows XP. It's extremely noticeable when side by side my 2407WFP.

I can't seem to load my OS X .icm profile either. AND the windows control panel color applet does not work for some strange reason. (to allow me to load seperate icm profiles for laptop screen & external screen)
