    Hey everyone!
Well, I've been playing WC3 on my pc for awhile and I need to install it on my macbook on saturday...HOWEVER, I've run into a problem. I can't seem to find the cd case that has the cd key on it. I still have the wc3 disc but I can't find the case, is there any way I could find my cd key without the case?

The CD-Key is on the disc case but I lost mine =( how can I find it in the registry of windows?

Will playing blizzard games on a mbp have a noticeable difference than playing it in windows mode? Blizzard games are essentially what I play most...so if I can get away with just booting them in osx then that would be great.

Uhm... what kind of difference do you mean? It's not running emulated, it's an actual Mac application, so it'd be just like running it in Windows. Except of course for the lack of a right mouse button on the touchpad, but you can still right-click with the two-fingers-on-touchpad-while-clicking maneuver or with an external mouse.

Yeah I mean performance wise...will it run as smoothly. I guess it would which is great. So do mac compatible games run just as well performance wise as their PC counterpart?

probably and I'm pretty sure you can use a USB mouse versus using a track pad unless you're playing WoW then you might not care for a mouse as much. Hey everyone I have a logitech MX518 mouse that will work with a macbook right? I mean, it's supposed to be plug and play and it is compatible with Mac OS X

I just want to point out that Mac games do NOT run as well as their windows counterparts. Mac's utilization of OpenGL is pretty terrible, resulting in much lower frame rates and an overall lower quality of play. Don't get me wrong, you can still play it, but don't expect it to be as fluid as it was on windows.

What is the integrated graphics you currently have, SamsungFTW?

If it runs fine on that I wouldn't worry about it then.

    You have Windows, don't you?

Right click the desktop and select Properties, so it brings up the same window you use to set your wallpaper and screensaver. Click on the Settings tab, and under the "monitor" image there should be a Display: [monitor here] on a [graphics card here]. So for example, mine's says Plug and Play Monitor on an NVIDIA GeForce 6600. See what your's says.

Well the GMA950 is newer than the integrated graphics you listed there. So I wouldn't worry about running WCIII then.

Really? Numbers please. I've never seem games with a native Mac version run with "much lower frame rates", but I'd be gladly proven wrong. To the OP, Warcraft 3 is completely playable at the highest settings on even the lowest Macbook - it is not a demanding game.
