Well it's been getting worse, but now it's simply driving me insane. The mouse button on my 15" MacBook Pro is doing this weird "double tap" click thing when you press it; about half way through a normal "press" it will do this click sound/feel then ANOTHER real click when you get it all the way down.
When you go to click something at a normal speed, you get this incredibly annoying ta-tap feel/sound.
The only problem is that it does this about 60% of the time, and I can't figure out how to trigger it for sure. So basically if I bring it into the store I'm 100% sure it WON'T do it for the guys there.
Ugh. I don't know what to do, but like I said, it's really making me pull my hair out. I got the computer 6 days ago.

Sounds like something is is stuck under the button maybe. Return it.
-
Yeah that's what I thought, but I've kept this thing immaculate to.. it just buggs me.
Mmk I'll bring it in there I guess. -
Take your battery out and notice if its not inflating. Some mousepad/buttons problems were related to batteries.
-
inflating? nah like I said the computer's only 6 days old
-
From what I heard, inflating batteries have nothing to do with how old your MB is. It's a defective thing. Give it a check; it won't kill you.
Weird mouse button problem on new MBP - return?
