    Hello everyone,

I have the last generation macbook pro 15 inch, and I'm getting a weird issue with a slight delay in typing coming up on the screen.

It comes in short bursts, but it seems like when it does happen the computer will hang for about a second or two and then display everything I typed. The touchpad and all processes work, but it seems like somethings up with the keyboard buffer?

I reboot about once a month, but even after a reboot I still get this issue. I've tried to check online, but haven't seen anything quite like this.

When did this start happening? I remember something about keyboard lag with the MB/MBPs in 2007, which was fixed by a subsequent firmware update. Of course changes are there's a process running in the background that's causing this lag.

Are you using a CPU monitoring program? You can use it to check if your CPU usage is going up during the hangs.

I had a somewhat similar issue, and I solved it with replacing the HDD. Mine was a 5400RPM 250GB Seagate. I noticed at times of lag there were a lot of writes to the HDD so I figured a faster drive would solve it... So I replaced it with a 7200RPM Hitachi, and it cleared right up. Haven't seen the problem since, and I'm running on a cloned image of the Seagate.
