On my pc's I normally use Nero. What is a good burning software program for os x?
I would like to burn music, videos, misc files, and maybe .iso's or the equivalent on the macs.

Roxio Toast.
-
Are there any free ones for the time being untill my next paycheck?
-
finder and disk utility will do basic burning and burn images.
-
Finder and Disk Utility provide most of the utility you need really. If you want to poke around with the terminal you can access a few more advanced settings too if you really feel the need to, but Finder and Disk Utility should provide you with most things you need.
-
I'm not seeing a way to access settings. I'd like to burn a music cd by using my .mp3's I have on my macbook so it plays in a car cd player.
-
Just use iTunes. It will burn a music CD easily enough.
-
I figured out how to make an audio cd in iTunes and it works perfectly
-
I don't use or recommend burning software with OS X. For most people, OS X has all the capabilities you need built in. iTunes, iDVD and Finder/Disk Utility generally cover most people's needs. Best of all, there is no extra cost nor bloat.

Roxio Toast is the best way to go.
-
Sonic Record Now
-
Clone CD is also very good......
-
I also believe that the built in Apple tools will cover most basic needs, but if you have the money then Toast is a worthy addition.
-
Maybe a little off topic but related to music files and the software to manage them. Can you play/burn/convert flac files and ogg vobis files in OS X?
-
Yes you can.

Toast also supports burning/converting FLAC and Ogg Vorbis.
What burning software is good?
