I mean, the brand name and model.

I don't know the actual manufacturer but it uses DDR2 SO-DIMM PC-5300 memory. You can buy high quality memory here for the cheap.

Thanks, but I want to know the manufacturer. I plan on selling them when I get my macbook, and I'd rather do that BEFORE I get my macbook.

I just googled it and it appears to be samsung memory.
-
You won't know that until you open it up and look at them, I'm afraid - I know Apple has used several RAM suppliers, no idea which one they favor now or if they use several.

mines had samsung -
It varies. I don't remember what mine had and since it's in my wife's notebook now, I'm not gonna look, but they use several brands.

My Macbook which was bought around 3 months ago and it uses Nanya memory. Like others have said, you should wait until you receive the notebook before you sell the RAM.
-
From what I've seen Nanya and Hynix are the main ones, well the ones as of 3-4 weeks ago, I've upgraded about 5 MacBooks from 512 to 2gb, about 8 were Hynix, and the rest were Nanya.
What memory does a macbook come with?
