I'm running bootcamp 1.4 I think right now. I hope they give us a few months to buy leopard or something.

When does my boot camp expire? I'll have to buy Leopard then.

Well, previous versions of Boot Camp expired on September 30th, 2007. But the current Boot Camp Beta (1.4) doesn't really have an expiry date yet, as far as I know. But there will most likely be advance notice of it before it happens.

    And this is worth noting:

Yeah, you should have 1.4. It was released a while ago, so you probably updated to it already.

So it sounds like 1.3 and 1.4 do not expire? That is probably a good move on Apple's part for people like me who have to wait a bit to upgrade.

It probably does, but not right away, I would assume.

I was told by someone at an Apple Store that the "expiration" of Boot Camp 1.4 means that after the first of the year, it will no longer be available to download from Apple. That being the case, all you'd need to do is download the install file now and burn it to a CD for safe keeping.

AFAIK it will expire on Dec 31. But you can use the partitions you have created and continue booting into windows without a prob. You just wont be able to run bootcamp assistant after the date.

From what I read I agree with ethanhunt123 on that. You just won't be able to edit/alter your partitions. You will still be able to dual boot into Windows.

This is the way it will work. If you have it up and running already, nothing much will happen.

I use Boot Camp and I'm not getting Leopard until I read that Adobe CS3 is good to go on Leopard.

I hope I don't get dead ended by these bigwigs and their sly agendas.
