    Hi there

I'm extremely keen on the macbook air 11"
Mainly because of form factor, weight etc

One thing thats really putting me off is that its using intel core 2 duo,
and that the intel sandy bridge is coming out real soon like january or something?

So can some of the speculators around here suggest when the next refresh of the air lineup is due?

Is it likely to be around october - december 2011?
I'm prepared to wait till then

    Cheeeers

Yea but the reason I ask is they seem to refresh EVERYTHING, every year

And if you look @ MacBook Air - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    early 2008 release
    late 2008 refresh
    mid 2009 refresh
    late 2010 refresh+new release 11"

    see what i mean
also heres a quote from someone @ cnet

But if you look, the iX series weren't introduced into Macs until about a year after Windows PC's got them. SSD's weren't available until a while after Windows PC's got them.
I don't see Apple jumping on the bandwagon right away with Sandy Bridge.

Apple is very predictable usually with product refresh announcements. Usually it's a yearly cycle.

An indication for product release cycles can be found here:

    http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/

    This is what they say:

    Product MacBook Air
Recommendation: Buy - Product recently updated
    Last Release October 20, 2010
    Days Since Update 72 (Avg = 336)

Nothing official but something you can rely on.
