This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Where's Safari 4b placing downloaded files in Windows?

    Downloaded Safari 4b and installed it on a Windows machine ( running Win 2008 Server), everything is running fine except the downloaded files are no where to be found anywhere!

    I specifically told Safari to save them on the desktop but they don't appear at all, nil result comes up while searching for them.

    Can anyone please help? Thanks!

    Have you looked under "preference" then "general" to see where the default download folder is?

    Have you had any problems with bookmarks? Specifically, bookmarks synced via mobile me. I couldn't get Safari 4 to show them. Had to go back to 3.

    No issue with bookmarks so far and sorry I don't have Mobile Me subscription so can't comment on that one.
