I can't seem to find where in Leopard to look at the items in the trash... I might be going blind since I can't find anywhere in Finder or spotlight even to point me to the trash folder.
Side note: 2 more posts until the 1000th post
-
Are you saying the trash icon is not in your dock?
I don't think you can browse to the trash folder in Finder. I might be wrong though.
But anyways, when you click on the trash icon in your dock, it should automatically open a finder window with the contents. -
arghhh!!! i knew it was something painfully obvious... i might want to delete this thread now, to hide any more form of embarrassment.
side note: 1 more post to 1000th post. just hope it's not a silly post. -
What does the 1000th post do for one? (lol sorry to bump your embarrassing topic)
-
it's more of a personal achievement thing. it took a year, but it was well worth it!
your lucky i'm a nice guy, IllegalOperation, for i was about to report abuse to the mods for bumping this silly thread... lol -
As opposed to spamming the thread with your countdown to 1000 posts?
-
spamming is when there's multiple posts with the same thing written. plus, this is my own thread so... my rules.
-
I keep my dock magnification set to tiny. I actually had trouble seeing the trash the other day, too. I guess I really should weed out all those apps (besides garage band) that I never or only rarely use. Besides, my preferred method for launching apps is to type a few characters into spotlight anyway. Then I could make the thing big enough to see.
Spam? What spam? No spam here officer. Nothing to see. These aren't the droid's we're looking for. Move along... -
*cough* Counting down to your 1000th post is making "multiple posts with the same thing written".
And.......hate to tell you, but as soon as you hit "Submit Reply", your thread became the property of the almighty NBR Overlords and your rules are no longer enforceable!
-
lol, ok ok. back on topic.
when i use the "empty trash securely" function, it takes forever to finish. what's it exactly doing to require that much time?
edit: 996 more posts to go

Although this is for OS X 10.4, it should still apply for Leopard.
Where's the trash?
