    White Macbook Palmrest Replacement

    Just wondering if i can get my Palmrest replaced?

    I am getting these yellow stains on the palmrest area but i thought that this problem was fixed with the late 2007 macbooks (i own a mid 2008 macbook).
    My hands are very clean and i don't know how the yellow stains keep appearing. I often clean it about every 3-4 weeks with a quality eraser but it just keeps coming back.

    Also, i have noticed that there is a small crack in the palmrest (some other ppl and sites says its from closing the macbook).

    Does apple replace the palmrest considering that the above are faults in the item? And what is the procedure (just call them up or go straight into the Apple store?)

    Yea I'd say get an apointment with a genius at the apple store, and theyll figure out what to do for you.

    I'm not sure if theyll cover it if its still under warranty, but they should be able to order it in and replace it for you if you really want it changed. Though youll have to pay for the part and service if its not covered.

    So they will cover it if its out of warranty? :S

    Is there some part in the terms and conditions of warranty where it says you can get it replaced if it is defective?

    Just looking on ebay and it'll cost about 120 US for a new one without installation
