So, everyone knows that on Mac laptops there is a apple on the back that has been bitten into.
Who bit into that apple?
Was it Eve in the garden of Eden?![]()

The Apple is a reference to the Apple that fell on Sir Isaac Newton, not the apple in the garden of eden. Here is the short-lived original logo for Apple Computer Co:
And as for the bite out of it:

I thought it was because of turing

LOL.
Yeah, "the apple that killed a mathematician" somehow doesn't seem nearly as effective for a corporate symbol as "the apple that inspired a physicist"... -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
he is the inventor of the modern computer (or the logic of it), I can give him a little bit of credit. The turing machine is still one of the most amazing things that are taught in college -
I'm not denying Turing any credit or disrespecting him. I just don't see how someone who respected Turing would use a partly-eaten apple as a symbol of Turing or respect for Turing:

because he killed himself due to the chemical castration that was forced upon him, for the simple matter that he committed the crime of ''choosing'' his sexuality, and since that is considered the original sin...
I think it was quite poetic. -
I guess you could see it that way.
But considering that Apple's first logo was a picture of Sir Isaac Newton, and Apple's first tablet was called the "Newton," I think it's obvious where the apple idea came from.
Also, here's an interview with the guy who actually designed the Apple logo (the striped apple with the bite out of it, the first one after Ron Wayne's intricate design of Sir Isaac Newton). Turing had nothing to do with it, though he thought the theory was cool in retrospect.

Im not disagreeing with you that newton might be or is the one behind apple's logo, I was just pointing out that I thought it was because of turings
PS: just noticed the first of several gross grammar mistakes, and probably the cause of your LOL
-
Ah, so Issac Newton is the reason.
Thanks for clearing it up.
