The first glowing apple logo was started on the 4th gen PowerBook G3 called "Pismo" I believe. But then the apple logo was upside down when the laptop is open. When they released the first gen Titanium PowerBook G4 in 2001, the glowing logo is corrected and used until now. Correct me if i'm wrong though
I agree with you, it is not a practical feature, but more like aesthetic feature for "wow" factor (Just like RR logo on Rolls Royce Phantom OEM wheels are always in upright position, never upside down even when the wheels are spinning). -
You need two conditions, one being a student, two being an Apple SW developer Member (developing Apple Software) Then you can shop at Apple Developer Store, which is cheaper than normal student discount
