    Hello:

My new macbok has a dead pixel, and I am within the 14 day return window. Its not really a big deal, but I might as well get one with no dead pixel.

    Here is the question:
When I first set up the machine, I upgraded the HD to a faster larger one. Returning the machine means I put the stock drive back in, and I have everything on my larger drive. Will I be able to that drive into the replacement machine, and boot up with out issue? I'm assuming I can, but I know that on my windows' machines, there were often conflits and issues.

    Thanks.

as long as you did not wipe out the original drive you can put it back in without worry. even if you did, you could just quickly reinstall Tiger/Leopard with the installation disc.

Ya. That part is no issue.

I just want to confirm that I can use my current (upgraded) drive in a new machine and it will work and boot just fine (without having to rinstall or set up anything, etc.).

I would assume that if you're getting a like machine with like hardware, that it wouldnt be a problem to put that drive in.
