just tried it, doesn't work either,

there must be someone here using a software to see mac formatted HD on windows I presume ? which one ? ;)

BTW, I don't know why, but W7 does the same as what vista did on boot camp:
I have an external monitor (Samsung T260HD) and when it is plugged, both vista and W7 see it, but they put the external screen as a copy of the screen of the mac and resolution is max 1280x1024 for both of them, and my only solution is to unplug the screen.

edit: I finally can put the mac screen in 1440x900 but the Samsung is still in 1280x1024 and I normally can put 1920x1200 on it

    any tips ?

I performed a clean installation of Windows 7 in the Boot Camp partition and then installed the drivers from the original Mac OS X DVD (MacBook Aluminum). Everything went fine, but I have two exclamation marks in the Device Manager and Windows 7 can't seem to find the drivers automatically. Can anyone tell me where to find these?

    1. SM Bus Controller
    2. CoProcessor

Both are listed under "Other Controllers" and I have no idea what they might be. Should I try downloading and installing the latest Intel Mobile Chipset drivers or would that be of no help for these devices?

    Salut

Windows 7 in bootcamp runs perfectly. I have it installed right now. No problems or complaints so far.

Im having some issues on my 2.4 Unibody MBP.

Its not installing drivers for a "coprocessor" and SM Bus??? Also, if I install bootcamp 2.0, and restart it freezes each login, but if I install laptopvideo2go drivers before the bootcamp restart, it works fine.

I wouldnt even install bootcamp if it let me adjust brightness without it!

    Any ideas guys?

The two missing drivers are both located in the Boot Camp driver directory but for some reason don't install automatically. The trick is to locate the NVidiaChipset.exe and extract its contents to a temporary folder. Then simply update the two drivers manually (CoProcessor and SM Bus Controller) by pointing the Windows Browser to the temporary folder location.

One other glitch I noted was the Windows Experience Index performance ratings for the HDD transfer and gaming graphics, both of which were much lower than with Vista. The hard drive transfer rating can be improved by unchecking the "Enable Write caching on the device" in the Policies tab for the HDD in Device Manager. You can then re-enable this feature following the assessment. Has anyone got an idea of how to improve the gaming graphics rating? Mine is much lower than the Aero Desktop score but I haven't found any reason for the discrepancy yet. Might it have something to do with the Windows 7 WARP feature?

For those of you who need the Cisco VPN Client, be sure and install their DNE update first. This did the trick for me.

So far Windows 7 is running fine in Boot Camp but I have yet to try it in a VMWare Fusion virtual machine.
