    Hello,

I used bootcamp to install windows 7 on my MBP. Everything runs smoothly except the fonts on webpages look very odd. The letters appear to be very skinny.

    Anyone experience this?

    thank you,
    claus

You'll probably want to install or turn on "Clear-type" that basically turns on Anti-aliasing for font faces if it's not turned on already.

In general, Windows and OS X renders fonts differently. I find that switching to Windows you'll notice a difference as the font's are less smooth and somewhat skimpy.

Correct! Windows font is less smooth than os x but it has progressed a great deal as compared to windows xp. even vista font is quite nice. As suggested above, you may want to enable clear type. if you are the lazy type like me, then just go to control panel and type clear type.lol :D :D

This is your Mac having an allergic reaction to Windows. You should remove Windows immediately to prevent further outbreaks of weird fonts and random blue screens that seem to constantly show up while running it.

Unfortunately, I am in that camp. Really like the hardware and interface.
The blinding headache after 30 minutes of use I am not so fond of.

Luke, you may be correct. After 28 years of computer usage I have never had this problem. Although, after more research it appears it may be that some of us have a sensitivity to the LED back lighting. Either way, getting a headache from something designed for productivity, regardless of the source is not acceptable for anyone. Unfortunately I am not the only one to experience this.
