Looks like new MBP is on the way at WWDC (hopefully), prices dropped dramatically at refurb store. Even for a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MBP is $1599...
YAY YAY can't wait for new macs   :D

    I have a little question,

If the MBPs were updated in the following couple weeks and the now old generation MBPs were to hit the refurb stores at lower prices would it be better for me to grab the now old MBP refurbished over a fully equipped MB? I know, I know, I'll be buying old technology but I'm a student with 1,300 dollars to spend wisely.

I'd say so. The big changes are going to be a new processor and graphics card, so if you don't need either of those you should go with the older MBP.

The old MBP will still outperform a new MB in 3D acceleration and the improvements that Santa Rosa brings are not that significant. I say if you want a MBP that is the way to go on a budget.
