I was wondering if anyone knows what the core and memory clock speeds are for the Mobility Radeon X1600. I know they can vary widely depending on the manufacturer's stance on performance and power consumption.
Related to this I would like to know what the core and memory settings on the iMac are. I'm finding it wierd that Apple doesn't list their X1600 as either a Pro or an XT since those are the two standard desktop variants. It's be interesting if the reason why Apple doesn't list it is because they are operating it out of spec, which is something ATI is very strict on it's discrete manufacturers not to do. More strict than nVidia at least. At first I thought that the iMac might use the same Mobility Radeon X1600 as the MacBook Pro to standardize parts and since the Core Duo is primarily a mobile chip. Of course, the added cost and the fact that only the MacBook Pro specifically lists the X1600 as a Mobility variant makes it unlikely.

MacBook Pro ~ 315/315 MHz
iMac ~ 500MHz ? core&mem
MacBookPro can do ~ 3000 points in 05Mark. -
The iMac's X1600 can also be overclocked much better than the MBP's becuase it has a better cooling system than the notebook as well.
