I've got a 2.2 MBP with XP Pro installed through bootcamp

So these are the drivers I've tried and the numerous problems I've encountered.

    158.22:
Installed using both "have disk" method and setup.exe/uninstall bootcamp drivers method. Both times I get the "comb of death." Basically a little black pixelated comb looking icon pops up at the top of the desktop during startup and eventually everything freezes. During installation, whenever I was asked whether or not to keep newer versions of file, I chose to keep the newer ones.

    158.27:
Nvidia installer couldn't find nvucode.bin....so I kind of grabbed bits and parts from 158.22 and 162.18....didn't work...not surprising

    162.18:
Got it to work through the setup.exe but I couldn't overclock. Rivatuner settings revert back to stock after startup. I know this is an issue with the 16x.xx drivers

So in summary, I was wondering if there was a driver out there that would work with XP Pro and allow for overclocking.....otherwise it's vista 64 (basing my hope on this)

yesssss i'm not the only one....

    noooo why does nvidia suck.....

the bootcamp drivers are really bad. I got as low as 2000 3d mark 06 but on average 2200. With 162.18, I got 2800. Overclocking the stock drivers probably wouldn't give me much better performance than 162.18.

Some guy in laptopvideo2go suggested I flash the vbios. Sounds risky to me.

I wouldn't recommend doing that on Apple hardware.

I might consider it if he had done it himself on a MBP 2.2 or 2.4. Otherwise it would be quite risky to do so, especially because it might confuse OSX when it realizes that the video card bios has been altered.

New drivers will be along within the next month that should provide the functionality of the 162.18 drivers along with overclocking. That's just an estimation, though.
