Just wondering. I have an Intel X25-M 80GB (Optibay) and 250GB. Only really need windows for the rare use of a business application that's not available on OS X so I'm thinking win xp. 7 is nice but I don't think I will ever use the features. It's like get on and get off windows and be done. Not going to be doing any gaming or anything. Thoughts? thanks.

if you already have a usable license for XP use it... if your buying licenses now, 7 is better in almost every way, no matter what extra features you might not be using.

But doesn't Win 7 take up a good amount of space? I don't need to be taking up 15GB for an OS I'm only seldom gonna be using.

if its that seldom used I wouldn't waste any space putting it on the SSD

yeah, If your not using it a lot, don't waste the SSD on Windows. You can strip down windows, just google, once you take the crap that comes with windows out you can get it down to a gig or two at most.

there are ways to get windows 7 down to 4gb.
and it is way better than xp btw.
and 7 can actually use all the advantages of a ssd.
