Before on Tiger I was able to create archives without the folder with OS X's compression software. I upgraded to Leopard and now it seems that Archive Utility will silently add the __MACOSX folder much to my dismay.

I've read up on a few other compression programs that specifically advertise the ability to just add the selected files given but I was wondering if there is a way to make Archive Utility do the same as before?

Was hoping to avoid using another program but I suppose there's no way to make Archive Utility do it.

My previous conclusion was false and I have found that some files I compress in Leopard don't add the extra files. The problem is there in no pattern I can recognize to which this happens and I have ruled out file type or location.
