Hi All, Just got a Mac Book Pro 13 and the glossy screen is starting to bother my eyes, have tried turning down the brightness. That didnt help too much, I`m thinking about getting a anti-gloss screen protector like the one from Radtech. Does anyone have any opinions or experience with this product?
    Thanks,
    Phil

Give it a try and let us know what you think. $20 isn't bad

I don't have any experience with that particular product but I have had negative experiences in general with anti-glare protectors on my Droid X and iPad (which is easily "just as bad" as the glossy MBP line). All-in-all, I didn't like them. Whites came off as having a more yellow hue, colors were more muted, and the whole thing was fuzzy almost as if the resolution of the display had decreased.

Instead of trying to adjust your MBP's brightness, I recommend making some changes to the actual environment you are using the notebook in.

thanks, I just ordered the radtech anti glare protector. If it works $20 is worth it, if not I`m only out $20. I`ll be sure to post my opinion after.

That would be nice. I have learned to "live with" glossy displays as I have been using them since 2005 and always preferred them. My 17" Dell notebook had a glossy display (it was the only way to get 1920X1200) back in 2005, my Toshiba notebook tablet had one (due to the design of the stylus input display), my iPad had one, my iPad 2 has one, my Droid X has one (and pretty much every cellphone I have had before it), my MBP has one, and even my Sony point-and-shoot digital camera has a glass display. So I have grown used to them and actually prefer glossy displays over the matte options. My HP netbook had a matte display and I hated it simply because I was used to and preferred glossy displays.

The MBP's display does seem overly glossy and that has to do with the glass overlay whereas most other companies apply a glossy plastic coating. Let us know how it turns out but don't get your hopes up.

I use glossy displays but I haven't gotten used to the "glossiness" of the MBP display after 2 months of use.
