I just bought a MBA and don't want to pay $100 for an external drive that won't work on any other laptop. Does anyone know if there are any third party external DVD burners that will work with the MBA? Preferably less than $100.

    Thanks for your help.

Nearly all USB DVD drive should work. You don't really need a drive however.

Or you can use the optical drive from another mac or pc across a network.

What about installing Windows in Bootcamp? Wouldn't that require an external drive?

What's the quickest way to create the windows intall disk from a retail cd/DVD? I have XP now, and I might create one for W7 as well.

    UPDATE:

Never mind. 'figured it out (or rather, googled it). I've been meaning to do this, but never really had the incentive until the MBA that's soon arriving my doorstep.
