The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

This thread is for the mod who closed my first post. What is wrong with installing mac os x on a pc. I know many people who successfully did it, but with different laptops. Why did you have to close my thread? What's wrong with talking about mac os x on laptops??? I don't see the problem. Don't close this thread, since I will want to respond to you.

    Careful, you could get banned.

Apple's EULA clearly states that OSX can only be installed on Mac's. NBR doesn't want to get illegal chatter in the forums.

And talking is actually illegal? What is wrong with talking about the subject? I could understand that it would be illegal if the forum was allowing people to download a pirated iso of the os. But since when is discussion wrong? I think that is just ridiculous. Plus, isn't the point of the forum to help consumers?

    A) its clearing mentioned in the forum rules(its a great read-our rules won a couple of medals ;))
    and
    B) You are clearly violation OSX EULA(license agreement) which is not appropriate discussion for this forum.

This thread is also closed. There is no discussion of OSX on a non-apple label hardware Period.
