    I am currently using a PC but i would like to purchase a Macbook Pro. This may sound stupid, but meh! haha. I was wondering if the apple logo on the lid lights up on both the macbook and the pro model.

    i dont think they do on the macbook... but im sure they do on the MBP

    They both light up. It is actually just the backlight for the lcd.

    i'm pretty sure they light up on both the macbook and macbook pro...since i wouldn't understand y they would get rid of the light up logo on the macbook when it was available on the previous iBook generation...(unless i.e. it drains THAT much more power that they had to get rid of it...but even so it's like an image thing...they don't wanna wreck a perfectly good image of the mac design)

    Yup, they do... and it looks really cool!

    Only the MBP keyboard has a backlight I believe (also pretty cool).
