I'm pretty new to the forum and laptops in general. I'm looking to buy a laptop and i've been seriously considering the MB. I'm in LA so the 8.25% sales tax is a good amount and i'm just looking to minimize the cost. My question is, if I order a MB from Amazon with the 100 dollar rebate, are there any disadvantages with Amazon? Say if something is wrong with that MB i get, would i have to return it to Amazon or could I take it in to a local Apple store to have fixed/replaced?

You will be under the AppleCare warranty the first year, so you would have to call Apple Support or go down to your nearest Apple Center/Store if you have any issues (as far as I am aware).
