Purchase a crossover cable and connect the Mac and PC together via their LAN ports. Enable file sharing on both machines and you should be fine.

Migration back and forth between Windows and Mac was very easy for me because I have been running Syncback on windows for years now and it kept all my important files synchronized with my network attached storage appliance. To get everything over to Mac, all I had to do was log in to the same buffalo linksys my pc stuff was sitting on and copy it down.

On the mac side, you can enable smb sharing and you can drag and drop files to your mac from your pc. On the pc side you can enable folder sharing, enable sharing the music folder and then sit at your mac and drag and drop all the music files from your pc to your mac.

If both machines have ethernet ports, a $15 hub and two ethernet cables are all you need. Of course a hub won't provide an ip address but that's no big deal. Two machines can usually "see" each other even if there's no router around to give them an IP because the default IP is 169.254.something even without a router.

this is by far not the best way to do this AT ALL.

get an ethernet cable, and hook them up directly, or through your router.

using online file sites is ok for small files, but for MP3s, and probably lots of them, thats gonna take quite a bit of time to get things on the site in the first place.
