Hey!
Quick question:
Looking to take out the hard drive from a dead Macbook (logic board is ruined from humidity) and transfer the data to a new one.
What would the best way be to go about doing this?
Is there any way to set up the new Macbook so I can transfer everything over so everything is exactly the same as on my old machine... in a way such that it's *like* nothing even happened? Any way to clone and transfer or something?
What would the best solution be in your opinion?
Thanks for your help!

Assuming a standard SATA drive, if you're able to take it out of the dead laptop, you could transfer it to a working desktop or (an easier way) buy a HDD dock (example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182307) and plug that into your new laptop.

With your drive from the dead mac in an external USB enclosure you could try migration assistant on your new system and select Mac, Time Machine backup, or other startup disk.
If this does not work, start your mac holding down the option key till Startup Manager is up. Boot from the USB drive from your old system. Do a full time machine backup to another USB drive. Once completed boot your mac with command R and select Restore from time machine backup. -
Speaking of backups, this is one very good reason to keep multiple, regular backups
