I tried to install Windows (Vista SP1 x64) under bootcamp on my MBP (unibody), but after rebooting, only a blinking cursor appeared; it won't install Vista and refuses to eject the disk when I pressed the eject button. I had to use the trackpad button for forcefully eject the disk. After I did that, I could only boot into a white, blank screen (OS X wouldn't load and there are no error messages saying why). After about 5 minutes, it'd switch to the black (presumably install by windows) saying the "no boot devices were found". I tried inserting the OS X cd that came with the Mac to repair OS X (I'm assuming Windows had corrupted the bootloader or something), but after trying (I can hear noises from the disk drive) to read it, the same thing happens - white screen with no messages then a black screen telling me that there were no boot devices found. Does anyone know how I might remedy this? Thanks a lot! and Sorry for the lost post.

Umm, Im guessing that you tried holding down alt on startup, and selecting OSX if you can?
Though kinda sounds like something is wrong. Is the black screen dos? -

bootcamp is still screwy. i had issues installing vista 32 bit the other night. sulkorp is right, hold down alt when you power up and it should be fine.

Seems you'll have to call Apple Support or set up an appointment with a Genius at the Apple Store.

64-bit versions of Windows Vista are only support on the latest Mac Pro and Macbook Pro models. -
Ummm that sounds like a windows error.
As sulkorp said, did you already try holding the "option" key on startup?
I installed windows vista ultimate 2 days ago, and while windows starts it shows some warnings but it works

Sounds like the problem is with your installation CD, no offense, but are you using a genuine copy of the Windows VISTA installation disc and plus it has to be 32-bit too? I have known people to have that same problem when trying to use the "not working" copied windows installation disc......and they have the same exact problem as you did where the windows won't install, you cant eject until you reboot and click the trackpad to force it out and you are stuck there in the grey screen. Try rebooting few more times to see if you can get into OS X without any CDs inside.

Well, this morning, I was able to boot into OS X (don't know why) and I tried install windows again and it worked. I have no idea what caused the problem, but am glad that it went away
bootcamp disaster...
