    hi all, quick question that I couldn't find a definitive answer for.
    I have a very lacie monitor that I use for my photo editing and am purchasing a 15 MPB with the upgraded screen today.

    can the MPB do 1600x1200 on an external monitor?

    and on a side note, can the MPB drive 2 external displays?

    Yes, 1600x1200 is no problem for a MBP. It can do 2560 by 1440 as well.

    Yes, the MBP can easily do 2 separate externals at 2560x1440 as long as you have the right ports and connectors.

    going to try it as a desktop replacement and I'd like to keep my lacie screen

    Quality should be the same, just don't expect to max out CoD on both screens at once.
