I've been able to clone my hdd with bootcamp partition using copycatx thanks to their support who sent me detailed instructions.

    Here is what I did:

    I started with:
    a. A spare hdd which I put in a usb 2.0 sata enclosure
    b. A 16GB flash drive
    c. The OSX installation DVD
    d. I bought copycatx - $49

You should be aware that the usb ports in the MBP 2011 are too close to each other. Most of the usb interfaces bulge and their combined width might be wider than the gap between the mac ports. The bottom line is that you might need an usb hub. I needed all three ports, 2 for the hdd and one for the flash drive.

    Now:

    1. I erased and formatted the flash drive using the Disk Utility. I created a GUID partition with the Mac OS Extended (journaled) format.

    2. Using the Mac OSX DVD installer and I installed OSX on the flash drive. It took about 40min.

    3. I rebooted the computer using the flash drive and copied copycatx on it.

    4. Using copycatx, I selected the duplicate feature to copy the hdd in the mac (I selected the device) to the hdd in the usb enclosure. It took about 6 hours to complete 500gb. When you clone a hdd that hdd cannot be the active. That was why I had to use the flash drive.

    5. Unfortunately I stopped right here because I haven't been able to unscrew all the screws on the bottom (see my other post). I was planing to swap the harddrives. However, I checked the windows partition and everything is there. The duplicate feature copies the hdd byte by byte so I should be able to swap the harddrives and the computer should boot fine.

I will post another update as soon as I do the swap.

    Update:

It worked! The new hdd (seagate momentus xt) is bootable.
