basically the native res of the projector is 1280x720 but os x is only giving me 1024x768 as the highest res to output the projector. i have used this projector before with a pc and used powerstrip to get it going but i dunno if mac has powerstrip, i think because of the non-computer res of 1280x720 its causing me problems. but just dont know how to fix this.

    thank you

You may need to set your projector up for 16:9 in the menu first. 1280x720 is a 16:9 format. 1024x768 is a 4:3 format. However, I'm still not sure your computer will output that resolution.. still.. it's a shot

yeah my projector is set to do 1280x720, when using it with windows the only why i could get it to work was with powerstrip, which i said last time i know but i think that it only worked that why because powerstrip could create its own inf files. so is there any powerful apps out there like powerstrip for os x because this isnt acceptable for me.

The only way I could find around this is to go into the menu of the projector, and select the intelligent zoom. So for example my computer is set up as 1280x1024 and I am playing a downloaded tv show that is widescreen, the projector will zoom and fill the entire screen with the proper aspect ratio, the difference in resolution is negligable and you won't notice it.

ok I tried again and it auto selected the res for me. my mbp went to a 16:9 res and it matched the one on the projector...
