well i've been using my mac for a while now and i was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of some cool software that you guys use on your mac. Just anything would be nice. I have found some on my own but I was wondering what else is out there. I've been to the apple software site and found some cool widgets and stuff but what are some programs you like?

oh nother quetion. on my istat widget it says no temperature device can be located, and I was wondering how I could get one. Or how I could make it work.
-
Did you actually install the Core Duo Temp utility, iStat uses that utility to get the temperature information, do a search in google for it and download the program (not the widget one, unless you want it but it would make no sense if you're gonna use iStat) and after you have that installed, it should start working.

I love to record songs from internet radio channels like XM radio using Wiretap; I have a free version on my Powerbook 17". Wiretap will record anything that comes thru your laptop speakers.

Is there a software like that for windows?

Just wanted to second Wooky's recommendation of Quicksilver; all I can say is even if you go to the site and can't figure out what the big deal is, just install it and play around with it for a little bit (and possibly check out http://vjarmy.com/archives/2004/03/quicksilver_a_b.php to get some ideas of what it can do for you).
I'll also second the recommendation of TextMate; great editor. I also highly recommend BBEdit and TextWrangler from Bare Bones Software.
And Transmit from http://www.panic.com is one of my favorite FTP clients.
And Adium for IM's. -
Nice links thanks
cool mac software
