I want to make sure that everyone has this problem and not me, if not im going to the apple store to get it fixed, but first i want to know if it is even a problem.
Now, i noticed that when you put put pressure around where the clicker is, you can actually press the clicker without even touching the clicker. To demonstrate where you actually put pressure i drawn a very stupid drawing to give directions as to where you should put pressure on.
|mouse pad|
here [ clicker ] here
Is this normal? Can you do this?
Thanks all in advance.

Just tried it and I cannot do it. Are you sure you aren't nudging the button? Also, do you allow trackpad clicking? If so the pressure you are putting on it may register as a click. It seems as though yours may be defective.
-
nope, didn't happen to me either. It seems to me that yours may have a defect, bring it back and try the models at the apple store and have them fix it.

Nope im not nudging anything. I can honestly say that when i put pressure atleast 1 inch away from the clicker i can click it.
This is fustrating. Ive given apple too many chances. This currently is my 5th macbook pro and it still has issues.
Could i possible get this machine replaced since,
it doesnt boot up in the cold
the clicker clicks where it shouldnt
a small amount of case warping. -
Wow, are you getting them directly from Apple?

Sorry, no help here. I just wanted to commend you on the drawing. -
Hrm, if it woudl be the 5th time replacing, you qualify for a new MBP (should end up being a C2D) under the lemon law. If you're in the US.
Mine definently doens't have that problem. -

Call the store ow and tell them your situation. If you do not feel you are being helped to your satisfaction, try calling customer relations. You can reach them by calling the corporate office. I have had 5 MBP now too and customer relations was the last place I went, they were very helpful.
could someone try this with their macbook pro?
