I posted this on one of my older forums but it seems no one's reading it anymore. So here's a new thread. Re: my switch to macbook
1) Where the hell are the speakers?
2) i need something that can run msn, very much like the Adium, but also have the option for video chats. aMsn i haven't tried, as the last update was in 2005 so doesn't appear like a really good program. Anything else?
3) I'm trying to make sense of the hard drive. In PC, there's my computer, in which you find your main drive, and everything is in the main drive (unless there is a partition). What about on mac? I can't figure it out.
4) I asked this somewhere else as well but just to be sure, i'll ask again: is it good to let my macbook sleep at nights instead of shutting it down?
5) I just transfered some songs from my pc to my mac, and i'm trying to play them on itunes but i can't. Every song that I try to play it just pauses at the beginning. I press play and pause and play and pause and nothing happens. It just sits there at the very beginning of the song.
6) When I'm trying to watch a clip on youtube, it plays for a second they gets stuch, kinda like itunes, with the exception that itunes just gets stuck at the very first.
Thanks![]()

Be sure that the songs you are trying to play are not in .wma format. If you ripped them with Windows Media Player, they likely are.

no the itunes issue was fixed after I restarted the laptop :s
Now I have to worry about my HP Laserjet 1018, which apparently doesn't work on a mac :S:S:S:S:S:S -
The speakers are not on either side of the keyboard; that's the Macbook Pro. He has the Macbook non-pro. If you close the lid of the laptop and turn your laptop around, you'll see some vents where the sound comes out. When you open the lid of the laptop, the sound bounces off the screen and goes towards the user.
Have you tried MSN Messenger for Mac?
The equivalent of Windows Explorer on the Mac is Finder, the first icon in your dock. You can also double click the Mac HD on your desktop to access Finder.
It's fine to leave your computer in standby rather than shutting it down, but if you're not going to use it for an extended amount of time, it's better to shut it down. -
