    what fan controller can I get for my macbook in windows xp? My macbook gets crazy hot running the sims 2 in windows xp!

    You've updated to Bootcamp 1.2, I take it? I believe XP runs cooler under Bootcamp 1.2.

    You can use RIghtmark RM Clock to undervolt the CPU. Your MB will run cooler and longer.

    I'm pretty sure that will probably decrease the game performance...

    You can use smcFanControl in Mac OSX, run the fans up to 6k rpm, then reboot to windows WITHOUT CUTTING OFF THE POWER, then windows can run cooler.

    I didn't know mscfancontroller would keep the fan settings if I don't turn it off. Thank you for that tip. But is there one for windows? Playing the sims 2 the macbook gets ungodly hot.

    Undervolting does not affect clock speed.
