Try running disk utility and repairing the disk permissions.

is there any chance i could loose any data doin that?

Nope, you should repair permissions on a regular basis. I do it at least once a week.

To unlock a locked file just select the file, press Open-Apple (Command) + I (keyboard shortcut for Get Info). Then uncheck the "Locked" box.

Here's an interesting read about not repairing permissions...

From my own personal experience repairing permissions does work when it is a permission problem. I've run into problems where a file won't delete or I can't move it to a different folder. Usually running disk repair takes care of the problem. It isn't a fix for every problem, but it does work.
