"Leopard is so advanced that it lets you run windows if there is PC only software you need to use!"
in other words,
"Leopard might not be able to run all of the software you need. If this is the case, you will need to install another operating system."
hah.
Being able to run any operating system is actually a good thing, but its funny how they try to spin it as a pro of their operating system instead of their hardware in general.

That reminds me of how the single USB port on the MBA was a "feature."

haha. thats pretty funny. it must work quite well as a selling point to the average joe. -
it is not funny,it is "ingenious" marketing!
and it works

When I called apple, the girl I spoke to sounded really hot. Apple FTW!

are you sure that you were not talking t0 a male who is located in India?

Mac spin doctors probably make a ton of money keeping the company's image looking so advanced.
But why not make every single detail sound like a feature. If other computer makers aren't talking about it and you mention it as a plus with apple, then of course people are going to associate you with it. -
another common "feature" is no cdrom
-
I'm not sure if its still the case, but at least two years ago, Apple call centers were based in North America!
-
Not only the average Joe but it's a very good selling point to plenty of us geeks here as well. There are still a lot of people who don't know you can install Windows on a Mac henceforth it keeps them from deciding to switch. Some people have just one major piece of Windows software they need to use but have always wanted a Mac. People who own iPhones and iPods but no Mac may need to call in to Applecare for a question, while on hold Apple advertises what Leopard offers in terms of Bootcamp and with that bit of knowledge people will ask the Applecare support to confirm bootcamp's abilities and decide on making a Mac purchase.

Dont be racist about that.
Thanks to outsourcing, more jobs is created in the US. More important, apple call center can opertate 24 hours without damaging people's health. (Working at night is not good for your health)
P/S: do research before opposing to my ideas. -
This post does not make any sense. If you did not have almost 1000 posts, I would have mistaken is for spam.
He made a joke, and then you jump on him.
Thanks to outsourcing, many jobs that would normally be in the US are lost. I don't know about the working nights thing, but many people prefer night jobs - myself included. -
thanks Hep!
yes,it was only a joke...I thought that was obvious!
hearing funny things while on hold at apple
