you guys have never let me down... so... my question is...

    Hi there

so ... a month or so ago my beloved macbook hard drive completely failed, unrecoverable. my warranty (i have apple care but it's less than a year old) covered a new hard drive but... files gone...

i have my .mac account and had published several web pages that I can still access but.... yesterday i created a new web site in iweb. uploaded it to .mac and voila, it's there but... my old web sites don't show up on my .mac home page anymore! I can still access them but...
I fear they may be lost .

how do i restore them? is there a way to import them back into iweb? help!!!

    many thanks,

    jennie in dc

I am not very familiar with .mac, but if no one here knows the answer I would suggest trying AppleCare, they may be able to help. One other thing I would suggest is thinking of buying your own web space. It's not very expensive and the data would be easily recoverable. Also, iWeb, while nice and convenient is not an ideal solution either as it does not conform to any standards. If it works for you keep using it, but understand that if you ever grow out of it, your pages will have a hard time coming with you.

But as for recovering your data, I am sure it is still on your .mac space, you just have to figure out where. Apple should be able to tell you. Sorry I am not much help.

I'm not so sure. I'm really no expert at .Mac, but I think iWeb actually might remove what is there.

I'd say contact Apples .Mac support and see if they can help.
